Ellen joined Melbourne Health in October 2017 as Executive Director of Human Resources and Culture. Her career began in industrial relations before moving to human resources at Fairfax Media, where she worked for many years in Sydney and Melbourne. She also advised and led the People function in other industries, including hospitality, legal and accounting services, and senior care. They report directly to the General Counsel and the Corporate Secretary and work closely with the Chief Medical Officer and other stakeholders in all areas of the organization and are responsible for the management of the hospital by providing strategic and commercially sound forensic advice and support, as well as leadership and management services for a range of forensic functions within the hospital, including Subpoenas. Police and court connections, allegations of medical negligence, and access to information requests and clinical issues. We evaluated our 2018 HJP with RMH.

She originally graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Economics and a Master of Law and Labour Relations. She holds a Qualification in Change Management from the Australian Graduate School of Management. And in 2016, she earned her law degree.
